BIO
Jay Slay is an award-winning Canadian music producer and DJ specializing in electronic music. Best known for his hit track “All Night Long,” he’s got over 20 releases filled with memorable melodies, interlocking rhythms, and groovy baselines, mainly in house and electro house styles, along with ventures into other electronic subgenres like drum and bass or electroswing. With decades of formal training and experience as a professional classical pianist, Jay’s productions and DJ performances blend the warmth and sophistication of real instruments and original vocals with the purity and intensity of modern electronic elements. His music has garnered recognition on indie FM radio stations across North America, streaming platforms with over 1 million streams, and he’s even received a Best Music Video award.
As a collaborator, Jay works with both local and international vocalists, such as Vancouver’s Barron S, and American Idol finalist Robbie Rosen. Festival appearances have included Bass Camp (AB) 2024, Wubs in the Woods (AB) 2023, The Womp (AB) 2022/2021/2020/2019, NextFest Arts Festival (AB) 2022/2021/2020, Emotion Music & Arts Festival (SK) 2022, and in 2024, a surprise guest appearance at Altitude Music Festival (BC), as well as doing a Musician Mental Health workshop for Bass Coast Festival in 2022 (BC) and interview on Bass Coast's Sanctuary Radio in 2021. Previous direct support timeslots include Defunk, Vekked, DJ Dopamine, and Barron S, and he’s performed at venues such as Edmonton’s Y Afterhours, Starlite Room, and Union Hall.
Jay is a skilled event organizer and host, curating unforgettable artist lineups and experiences for audiences through his Vibe Raiders events company and record label.

Jay Slay runs record label and events company Vibe Raiders along with his business partner Thug Shells. Vibe Raiders is a recognized and respected electronic events company and record label in Edmonton, with their annual “Orange Hall-o-ween” (2nd annual in 2023) & “Velvet & Velour Valentine’s” (5th annual in 2024) events becoming increasingly popular. These shows are held in the historic, 120-year-old Orange Hall. The Vibe Raiders family hosts out-of-town headliners such as Barron S (Canucks DJ, Rihanna touring DJ), Freddy J (Shambhala Music Festival’s Fractal Forest), and Shake K, one of the world’s top breakbeats producers from Spain.
